We use the Epic Pro Robotic mount for our DSLR cameras to capture high dynamic range (HDR) images which are then stitched together to create superb virtual tours. A virtual tour is a collection of panoramic images that are stitched to create a “virtual” space. These panoramas are extremely large (gigapixels) and require specialized application software to create a dynamic interface viewer using HTML5, Flash or QTVR formats. It is designed to give the viewer a more life-like 3D view of the location or environment presented in the tour. Virtual tours are also popular in the real estate industry where a realistic 3D can be “experienced” by the viewer. McLaren Photographic recently worked with Crawford Supply in Itasca on their newly renovated showroom.
